Directors - Leading the Firm

The Keystone Directors drive the strategy and direction of the firm.  Combining consulting and industry experience, they set the tone for the firm, with the primary responsibility for business development, hiring, and project execution.  Unlike many other consulting firms, a Keystone director is actively involved in every client engagement.  
 

Andy Rolfe, Founder and Managing Director

Andy Rolfe is the Founder and Managing Director of The Keystone Group. He is responsible for leading the firm's strategy, marketing, and profit improvement efforts. His client base includes a combination of Fortune 500 manufacturers and privately-held companies. Prior to founding Keystone, Andy spent nine years at Andersen Consulting in the Strategic Services Consulting practice. He graduated with a BS in Finance from Indiana University, and received his MBA from the University of Chicago.

Tom Harig, Director

Tom Harig leads the firm's Operational Turnaround Practice. Over the last twenty-five years, Tom has worked in a broad range of manufacturing companies with special emphasis on the electronics and process industries. Prior to joining Keystone, he was a partner in Andersen Consulting's Strategic Services Practice, leading the unit's business re-engineering efforts. Tom holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and an MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.

Bill Budicin, Director

Bill Budicin is responsible for the firm's Merger and Acquisition Practice. He provides due diligence services to financial and strategic buyers, and also leads the planning and implementation of merger integration projects. With an expertise in operations, finance, and information technology, Bill has a unique perspective that is invaluable to potential buyers. Bill also works with underperforming companies, helping them assess strategy and execute profit improvement plans. Prior to Keystone, Bill worked for Crowe Chizek and Company, LLP and left the firm as partner-in-charge of their Performance and Profitability Services group. He graduated with Accounting and Finance degree' from the University of Illinois.

Christophe Jeannin, Director

Christophe Jeannin is responsible for the firm's Strategy & Operations Practice.  Christophe has spent twenty years in both management consulting and industry, working with Fortune 500 and middle market companies, as well as founding and running his own business.  Prior to joining Keystone, he was with Eastman Kodak's $1.5 billion graphic arts division (KPG) where he first held the position of Worldwide Director for Business Development, followed by Operations Director for one of KPG’s $350 million business units.  Prior to KPG, Christophe co-founded and ran a successful European telecommunications outsourcing business based in London (UK).  Christophe started his career in strategy consulting with CDI, a Bain & Company spin-off.  Christophe earned a BS in International Management from IPESUP in Paris, France and a MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

Chris Nemeth, Director

Chris Nemeth was a founding principal of Integration Partners. Prior to Integration Partners, Chris was a senior consultant with Watson Wyatt Worldwide where he was instrumental in building the firm's mergers and acquisitions integration services, which were adopted by clients in over 90 offices and 30 countries. Chris has conducted M&A integration, consolidation, productivity improvement, and related business transformation engagements for companies across a broad spectrum of industries. Representative clients include Home Interiors and Gifts, Domistyle, Rockwell Automation, McDonald's, Reliance Electric Corporation, New Venture Gear, Equistar Chemicals, VRD Americas, Flowserve Corporation, Rent-A-Center, and the City of Plano. During 1998 and 1999, Chris was engaged by the Parliament of the Republic of Georgia to examine emerging economic issues and key opportunity areas as the country embarked on the road to privatization. The work culminated in the Fall of 1999 with a televised address to the Ministry of the Economy entitled, "The Problem of Industrialization." Chris serves as an advisory board member, both for the Michigan City Chamber Music Festival and for the Chicago operation of Darby Louise Fine Arts based in Barcelona, Spain. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he studied both Economics and Music. Prior to his business career, Chris had a career as a professional violinist.

 

Jeff Alvis, Director

Jeff Alvis brings a unique blend of skills in strategy development and execution, P&L management, and consulting to Keystone clients. After holding executive positions in Corporate Development and Information Technology for Dun & Bradstreet, Jeff was Managing Director for a Technology Services firm and Division President for a $250MM manufacturing firm. As a P&L executive, he developed and executed strategies to grow revenue and improve profit and cash flow. In addition, he has consummated and integrated over 20 acquisitions. Jeff's experience as both a consultant and a client provides a balanced perspective when addressing client situations. Jeff received a BA in Economics from Tulane University and an MBA, with Honors, in Marketing and Finance from Northern Illinois University.

Brian Stewart, Director

Brian Stewart has nearly 20 years of consulting experience with a focus on profit improvement, restructuring, and M&A services for manufacturing, distribution, and transportation companies. His project work has encompassed numerous functional areas including sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, finance, procurement, new product development, and customer service. Prior to Keystone, he was a Manager of the Performance and Profitability Services Group at Crowe Chizek where he performed audit and tax advisory, M&A financial due diligence and valuation services, and ERP and Business Intelligence systems implementations and optimizations. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Central College in Iowa. Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), and is Certified in Financial Management.

Amar Shah, Director

Amar Shah has over fifteen years of professional experience across the management consulting, investment management and industrial sectors.  He has experience working with mid to large size companies in the automotive, heavy equipment, electronics, food, software, consumer goods, and motorsports industries. Most recently, Amar was a Director at Z Capital Partners; a credit focused alternative asset management firm, where he covered the diversified manufacturing, automotive, and electronics industries.  Prior to Z Capital, he spent five years at Keystone. Amar began his career at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a mechanical engineer and worked in various research and development and manufacturing roles, primarily in the race tire division. Amar holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, a Master’s in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was named a Siebel Scholar.

Principals at Keystone work with our clients to improve company performance. Our Principals have broad business experience, both in consulting and in industry. First-hand managerial experience gives our principals the ability to conduct hands-on project management to reach client’s goals. They are the day-to-day project leaders who help clients realize bottom-line results.

David Lloyd, Senior Principal

David Lloyd is an experienced consultant and international executive with more than 20 years experience.  He has held numerous executive-level positions with companies ranging from small start-ups to large multinationals in the high-tech, institutional, hospitality, aviation, and manufacturing sectors.  Besides his extensive operational experience, he is also a leading creative thinker in the area of human capital management. Some of his practices and innovations have been cited in the Wall Street Journal and CIO magazine, as well as numerous other business publications. He holds a BS in Economics from Upsala College and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology.

 

Joe Zito, Senior Principal

Joe Zito is a key leader in the firm’s Operational & Financial Turnaround Practice. Joe has over twelve years of consulting experience working with middle market manufacturing and distribution companies with a focus on operational turnarounds, profit improvement, business process redesign, and manufacturing improvement projects. His project work has encompassed a broad range of functional areas including: manufacturing, logistics, financial modeling, procurement, customer service, and sales, as well as ERP system implementation and optimization. Joe’s industry experience includes food, electronics, automotive, metalworking and trucking, among others. Prior to Keystone, Joe led lean manufacturing and manufacturing systems implementation projects for Crowe Chizek & Company. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Degree from Purdue University.

Associates at Keystone assist principals and directors on operational projects and add an experienced business manager to your team. Unlike other firms, Keystone Associates have several years of both industry and consulting experience. Our associates provide practical solutions to our clients. Because of their previous business experience, our associates offer pragmatic solutions, not business school theories.

ANALYSTS

Our analysts are diligent about diagnosing your business problem. This diligence will translate into sophisticated quantitative analysis combined with industry benchmarking and the identification of best practices. This analysis has led to several efforts to identify and reduce non-value added activities at a company, improve business processes, and analyze product profitability. Our analysts are more than skilled with a laptop and the latest software. They also actively participate on the implementation team.
